Handmade, Hand painted and decorated wooden toy trucks

WM Toys started as a simple request from a grandson to his grandfather. The fleet of wooden trucks are known as "The Blue Fleet". Oupa Willie is a woodwork hobbyist for many years.

During the March 2022 school recess, Lukas asked his grandfather for assistance to make him a toy truck. That resulted in the design and manufacturing of wood toy trucks by Oupa Willie using specialized software for the visiually impaired. Oupa Willie is visually impaired since 2002 with 1 % vision. Due to Oupa Willie’s visual impaired disability, he cannot operate any electrical wood working tools completly on his own without support. Therefore, under his close instructions and involvement, his wife and the Botha family assist him in the manufacturing, assembly, painting and marketing of the toy trucks.

The invite to the Letaba Lions “Dine in the Dark” event at Tzaneen (Limpopo Province) as guest speaker was used as an opportunity to showcase the handmade and hand painted toy trucks through an auction wherein they could meaningful contribute to the fundraising event.

This small request from a grandchild evolved into a small hobby business. It triggered and kick started the emotion and that even without vision, Oupa Willie can still use his talents to manufacture something of value that others can embrace and enjoy. His grandson in his request for this assistance, did not view his grandfather’s visual disability as a hindrance to make him something special. It actually boosted Oupa Willie to do his best to comply with the request. It gave him renewed purpose in his life and to continue to rise above his disability.

Tip Truk

The tipper truck actually tips and release a load. Approximate Dimensions: Length = 58 cm Height = 23 cm Width = 15 cm

Tow Truck

The tow truck is functional. It reels in the load and has a slider that can be used in different positions. Approximate Dimensions: Length = 58 cm Height = 23 cm Width = 15 cm

Side-Tipper Truck (Chrome Carrier)

The side-tip containers actually tips. Approximate Dimensions: Length = 1.2 metre Height = 23 cm Width = 15 cm

Interlink with containers

The interlink truck containers can be removed. The containers have doors at the back that can open and close to load a "freight". Approximate Dimensions: Lenght = 1 metre Height = 23 cm Width = 15 cm

This is a cutting edge John Deere Tractor which set new benchmarks for total fluid efficiency among high horsepower. A great toy to show off.

LandCruiser

A very smart cruiser, a dream for young and old. It looks like the real macoy.

Delivery truck

This truck is a lot of fun. It has one large containers (doors open at the back) which is not only for load and off loading goods but also provides storage. When the container is removed, the truck can load anything else on the flat back.

Dear Willie & Martie, our grandchildren have been playing with their fleet of trucks non stop for the last 5 hours and they are still playing. How do I order?

Can I pay using EFT as an option?

Banking details are provided on quotations or via WhatsAPP when requested. Cash or card payments accepted at events where WM Toys exhibits.

How long do I have to wait before delivery or collection can be expected.

We do keep a small consignment in stock. However, please consider to provide for a minimum of two - six weeks before the expected delivery date.

Do you consider special orders?

Yes, we already had special order requests e.g. for a birthday gift.

Where can we find WM TOYS?

We are every Saturday at the Pretoria Boeremark Stall 226 between 05:30 - 09:30 am. The Pretoria Boeremark is situated at Silverton, Moreletta Street.
